98 Lady Cannons Blue Win AFU Classic Tournament!
The 98 Lady Cannons won 4 straight games to take the U12 Girls Gold division at the Atlanta Fire Classic in Duluth May 1 and 2. The girls fought hard and had 3 straight shut outs scoring 14 goals and only allowing 1 in 4 games!

After a recent 2nd place finish at the Challenge Sports 3v3 Regional Championships on Jekyll Island, the U15 94 Lady Cannons travelled to Orlando this past weekend to participate in the Challenge Sports 3v3 National Championships and brought home a strong 4th place finish. The team’s good effort qualifies the girls for the upcoming Kickit 3v3 World Championships to be held in Orlando in January 2010.
Cannons U14 Boys Win 2009 GA FC Presidents Classic
The U14 Boys won in impressive fashion by winning all 4 games to capture the title over the weekend of February 21st and 22nd. The U14 Boys are coached by Head Coach Jordan Davis.

The Cannons 97 Gold team posted four consecutive shutouts on their way to capturing the U12 Girls Black championship in the 2009 Lazers Cup soccer tournament April 25-26 in Peachtree City.
The Cannons picked up two victories on Saturday, edging the Stars SC Diamond squad, 1-0, and later blanking the Lazers 97 Black by a 4-0 count. On Sunday, the Cannons advanced to the title game with a 3-0 win over CFC Red Star. In the championship game, defense dominated as the Cannons and Lazers 97 Black battled to a 0-0 deadlock in regulation play. It took two overtimes before the Cannons prevailed 1-0 to earn the tournament crown.

For the second consecutive week, the U10 Lady Cannons found themselves in
the finals, this time at the Atlanta Fire United Academy Classic held May 2nd and 3rd in Suwanee, GA. The U10 Lady Cannons went undefeated through their bracket, posting victories over Norcross Fury 4-1, a hard fought win against host team AFU Bronze 3-2 and a strong offensive display against Forsyth Fusion 9-2. The Cannons faced Knoxville FC Crush from Kentucky in the finals and dropped a 5-2 decision in a hard fought, physical match. On their way to the finals, the U10 Lady Cannons scored 16 goals allowing only five goals against. Providing a very solid defensive effort were Sally Hoffman, Alexis Garcia, Callie Bass, Caroline Salha with great goalkeeping by Graci-Belle Guimond. Leading the U10 Lady Cannons in scoring were Tehgan Anguilm followed by Nicole Langley and Elizabeth Wieting. Adriana Garcia led the Cannons in assists.
U11 Boys Win the 2009 NASA Academy Icebreaker
Congratulations to the Cannons U11 Boys for winning the NASA Academy Icebreaker Tournament over the weekend of February 14th and 15th by beating AFU (Atlanta Fire United) in the final game 2-1. The boys won 3 games and tied 1 to win the title. The U11 Boys are coached by the Cannons staff coach Chris Cook.
U12G Capture the 2009 Gator Showcase
The Lady Cannons U12 Girls captured the Gator Soccer Showcase in Gainesville , Florida over the weekend of February 14th and 15th by beating the Creeks Clash 2-1 in the Finals. The Girls won 3 games and lost 1 on their way to the championship for the second year in a row, as they also won it last year as a U11 team. The U12 Girls are coached by the Cannons Academy Director Greig Munro.
Cannons U10 Boys Win the GA FC Presidents Classic
Congralations to the Cannons U10 Boys who won 3 games and lost 1 to win the GA FC Presidents Classic over the weekend of February 21st and 22nd. The boys beat ASA Xtreme 99 Black 2-1 in the championship game. The U10 Boys team are coached by Head Coach Jordan Davis and Assistant Coach Jim Robbins.
